UseMyResearch stores research in the current browser, without an account. Opening My research initializes Indexed Database (IndexedDB) and installs an example. Opening the editor may install service workers and cache application files and website icons. Appearance preferences also use local storage.
- The site has no application analytics, advertising tracker, session replay, or fingerprinting code.
- Cloudflare serves the site and processes normal request information, including the network address, requested path, and browser headers. The launch disables Worker observability logging. Infrastructure processing still occurs.
- Readable research addresses contain a title-derived name. They can appear in browser history and requests to the hosting provider. They do not make the underlying research available to another visitor.
- Website icons can contact linked domains and reveal your network address and that an icon was requested. The page sends no referrer. Browser cookie behavior can differ before the icon worker controls the page.
- Context and node-listing tools can expose visible research fields to the agent used with the page. Private note text and local identity values are omitted from those read tools.
- A complete backup includes private research, private notes, local identities, and trash. A reviewed sharing copy omits the fields described in its preview. Review the remaining titles, links, and text before sharing.
Deleting browser storage, using another browser profile, or changing the site's origin can make saved work unavailable. Keep downloaded backups. Deleting a research page moves it to local trash. Permanently deleting it from trash or resetting all local data is irreversible.
Google connections and hosted research publication are not enabled in this release. No research body is sent to a UseMyResearch storage service.
